Marsi settled herself into Cielio's arms and hiccuped as her crying subsided. It felt good to have guardians. Cielio had promised that it would never happen again, Marsi resolved that if Cielio or Korkoa said it, then it must be true. Marsi felt exhausted, but the gigantosaurus memory had entirely shaken her from attempting to sleep again until that night. She shivered in Cielio's arms, grateful for the comfort he and Korkoa were giving her.

For the next few weeks, Cielo monitored Marsi's behavior carefully. Well, a bit too carefully for the faint of heart. Her actions showed signs of distress. Her dreams continued to haunt her. Talmarka had planned to research the whole month, but after he listened to what Marsi was muttering in her sleep (well, he couldn't actually make out most of it, just a few frighting words), Cielo nearly puked at how horrifying her experience was in the Basin. Even though Marsi didn't remember them, you could easily tell that they happened.
