"Well, that's very kind of you, but will they be able to defend themselves?" Korkoa asked, "I have trouble killing anything that's defensless. Unless it's allready dead. But I don't normally do that unless it's fresh."

"Basically, they're three foot long rats with no tail and a snout," Cielo told the raptor annoyed that he was negotiating with his near death.

Korkoa could tell that the Human was getting annoyed. "I'm sorry if I seem ungratefull. Thank you. I'll help you find the baby, then you can lead me to this nest, correct?"

ooc: Is it ok if I play Marsi?
Marsi giggled as she ran on and on in the brush of the Rainy Basin. She tripped on a lifted root and landed in the soft mud. Sputtering and honking, Marsi stood and toddled in the mud, letting it squish between her toes. She knocked her head on something soft and hard at the same time. Shaking her head, Marsi spotted one of two large holes and stuck her head in it to investigate. Something tickled her nose and the little corythosaurus sneezed, "Eww" she muttered Suddenly, what Marsi had thought was a stone lifted into the air and she hung on a scaly lip forty feet in the sky. Squealing in sheer delight, Marsi looked around and saw the nice boy who had given her a place to sleep the night before. Honking to get his attention, she also saw that something was next to him. "Ooh" she thought, "someone to play with!" She climbed on top of the big "rock" and found herself looking into the large eyes of a Gigantosaurus!

IC: Korkoa heard a honking noise coming from his left. "That sounded like a Corythosaurus!" He yelled, running in that direction. Then he saw the Gigantosaurus. "Oh darn." He squaked. "Hey you!" He called in the Gigantosaurs language, "Don't you dare eat her!"

"Holy-!" but before he had time to finish, the largest species of any predator turned its refrigerator-sized head toward him and the raptor. "If this could get any worse," he whispered to the raptor, "Please don't hesitate to tell how."

Marsi was getting more than a little bored just sitting there on the large head of the gigantosaurus. She began searching for a way down to the nice boy and the new friend, she was tired, especially since she had been unable to sleep the last few minutes of the night. Yawning, Marsi looked down from the enormous nose she was sitting on. It was too far to jump, and sliding down its back sounded like fun, Marsi did that with her mommy all the time. Standing up, the infant corythosaurus toddled towards the back of her ride's neck...and dropped straight down its spine. She landed safely back in the pile of mud she had squished in earlier and honked at the theropod to thank him. The big gigantosaurus did not seem to be all that gracious, however, since he looked at Marsi and snarled, causing the Basin floor to tremble. Marsi did not like that look or that sound, it scared her. The little infant began crying heavily as she sat in the mud in the Rainy Basin with a gigantosaurus looming threateningly above her.

"Great, I just had to ask," Cielo sighed. Nothing so far had been successful. He was thinking of everything he'd learned, what to do in a carnivore attack. Sure, it might have helped five minutes ago, but now there was a creature several times the size of last problem, and typically his knowledge was based on if HE was being attacked. If there wasn't going to be a mortality, someone would have to get creative...

"Hey! Giganto!" Korkoa called out in the basic carnivore language. "Back off! The kid's mine!' He switched back to English. 'If you heard any of that, don't worry."

"Worry?" Talmarka asked the raptor, showing astonishment in his voice. " Why shouldn't I be worried? I'm being helped by something that tried to KILL me, a juvenile Corythosaur has sent a hundred people into an entangled jungle, and now one of the largest Tetanurans is now looking down at me-" The Gigantosaurus roared loud enough for the conifer cones to fall on him from the trees. "Okay, I'll shut up."

"Look, If you weren't going to fight back, I wasn't going to kill you! But that's besides the point. I'll distract Gigantor, and you get the kid, 'kay? Good, go!"

The raptor was right. It didn't matter. The hatchling mattered. Talmarka sinked into the shadows, then flanked to the left. Though the carnivore was being distracted, he still needed stealth. After hiding and sprinting carefully from tree to tree, Cielo was just a few meters away from the Gigantosaur. He moved to a bush, stepped out a bit and about had the Cory by the tail... SNAP!! The massive carnivore moved its enormous head toward the sound of the broken twig. 'Cielo Talmarka, you've killed yourself' he thought as the two plate-sized eyes above him stared back at the duo.

'Oh great. he just had to step on the twig.' Korkoa thought, trying to thnk of what to do next. Then he had an idea. He made a rasping, choughing sound deep in his throught, the sound reaching almost a mile into the Basin. The call for help. It distracted the Gigantosaurus for about ten seconds. But that was long enough. Allready, Raptors were showing up to help fight off the giant Saurian. Korkoa called out to them in Raptor: "I need halp protacting the Human and baby! Please," He said, as the Raptors glanced at each other, surprise showing in thier eyes, "I gave my word! I must help them! Don't hurt them. Please." A few Raptors scoffed, and ran off into the jungle, a few more eyed the Human and Corythsaur hungrilly. But in the end, about half had stayed to help Korkoa fight.

'I wonder where they're going,' Cielo thought watching several species of Dromesaur come and go, jump into trees, and sprint toward the colossal carnivore. He put his hands over the of what he guessed was "Marsi" and slowly began to usher it back.

Korkoa gulped, glancing at the Human. He was trying to get the baby to walk back. Korkoa groaned, and ran to the Human. "That'll take too long." He said. "Just pick it up!"

Marsi looked at who had touched her and showed her grin through her bright eyes, honking contentedly, but definitely not loudly, so as not to attract the attention of the meanie giant dinosaur, Marsi practically leapt into the boy's arms. She looked up at the new friend and gasped, it almost had the same face as the meanie giant she hated. Her coos quickly turned into whimpers, and the little corythosaurus threatened to cry. She looked at the nice boy and nuzzled her face into his shirt, she wanted mommy, right NOW!
ooc: Hey, what's gonna happen? Should they go even deeper into the Basin because they got lost somehow? Or perhaps one or the other saurians become partners with Cielio because of what they have all gone through together? I don't know, what do you think?

OOC: I think they should get lost. But then again, Korkoa should know his way around the Basin. Mabye we should go with the partners idea.
IC: Korkoa sighed as the baby wimpered when it saw his face. "Hello." He said in what little Hebivore Saurian he knew. "I. Korkoa. Friend. I help save you. Understand?" He switched back to Basic. "By the way," He said to the Human. "What's your name? I'm Korkoa."

ooc: Maybe we should go with the partner idea. I mean, this is a Treetown RP, not a Rainy Basin one.
"Cielo. Cielo Talmarka," he said. "Either or's fine. It really doesn't mean much to me anymore. I stopped caring a year ago. You do know your way back from here, right? I've got a LOT to explain, and more to do.

OOC: Partners it is. What, Cielo-Korkoa-Marsi?
IC: "Yes, I can find the way back. Will I be welcome there? 'Cause I have a sneaking suspicion I won't be welcome here for much longer."

ooc: Alright! I'm not sure who is which. Perhaps, since Talmarka is the only human, he should decide. What do you think, Korkoa?
Marsi's sense of contentment shortened and she wriggled out of Cielio's arms to crumple a few dry leaves on the ground. She heard them talk quietly for a while, then they began sneaking back the way they had come. Marsi reluctantly let Cielio take her hand and guide her back to Tree Town. The very first thing that reached Marsi's holey ears was her mother's honking voice. Marsi honked back as her mother scooped her up. In her babyish hadrosaur, Marsi explained what had happened. Her mother looked first at Cielio, then undecidedly at Korkoa, the nice raptor. Marsi soon grew tired of her mother's embrace as well, slipped out of her grasp, and hugged Korkoa's foot. She honked happily, then went to Cielio, expressing obviously that she wanted him to pick her up.
ooc: Is this okay?
