Arithia tapped her foot anxiously, waiting to see if the Mail Master had any postal birds left. He finally returned, "I'm sorry" he said, "We are all out."
Something burned inside of the girl that she had never experienced before, "Look" she said, "You must have seen the boy the ran by here only moments ago, right?"
The Mail Master nodded, Arithia continued, "He's a dolphinback that just escaped from the island. He's threatening to make this place a theme park! If we don't do something, our livelyhood is entirely destroyed! Is this clear to you?"
The Mail Master simply stared at her, dumbstruck. Arithia threw her hands into the air, "I give up! Come on, Blaze, we are going to have to get to Waterfall City if we are going to get anyone to cooperate"
Blazetail followed her partner hesitantly, "They will not be open to using weapons, Arry" she whispered
Arithia was so frustrated that tears had begun to form in her eyes, "We have to at least try, Blaze. Let's go tell the others, maybe they will come with us"

Defyus Looked over the gun. It was weapon he had never held before, nor had he expected to. Whatever was in Rex's mind, he wasn't planning for a peaceful settlement between Harry and himself. Something has to be done to stop this battle. Defyus thought.

Then he thought of what it would take to stop the battle. Something has to be done about Rex. Defyus stared down again at the gun he held in his hands. It would be easy to kill Rex, a single shot to the head would do.

Defyus shook his head. he couldn't believe what he was thinking about doing! He had to get such thoughts of his head, he needed to be doing something.

"Hey, Rex, what can I do to help?" he asked.

Just then and old man and his saurian life partner appeared on the scene. The old man looked like a pirate somewhat by the way he was dressed. Following not far behind was a big 33 foot sandy coloured baryonyx. The pair had traveled from Crackshell Point on their way to Tree Town for some supplies for their journey across the land when all the commotion caught his attention. He saw the male human with a weapon in hand. "Arrr, firesticks eh?" Speaking in and old weathered English accent. "I thought weapons war enemies e'en t' their owners on this isle. Aye I meself dislike them 'cuz o' that. Aye." The baryonyx behind the old man agreed with a nod and wasn't all that impressed about the idea either. "I'm Barry Lionhart and this is my trusty life partner Gathranth (Crocosaur) Thornpool. We war just on be way t' Tree Town for some supplies when we ran in t' this little conspiracy o' yours har."

Arithia jumped when the man spoke and turned back to him. "Welcome to Tree Town, sir" she said as Blazetail rose to her full hieght, eyeing the pair, she was not threatening them, simply trying to tell who they were.
Arithia held tightly to Blazetail's neck as she spoke. "I'm sorry, this must be suspcious, what with all of the weapons and all" a thought struck her, "Sir, if a dolphinback somehow escaped from Dinotopia, threatening to destroy its livelyhood, what would you do to defend the island?"
Blazetail sniffed the Baryonyx cautiously and said, "I like them, they could help us"

Rex looked up at Barry Lionhart and his dino and kept working his weapons "Defyus, u have a fighting spirt, that good, and thinking of killing will only help u, when i'm done training u guys for war, some of u guys will love the thrill and and stay under my command now, take this target of human by a three about 5 miles out k thanx"

The old mad just kept staring at all the weapons that Rex had as the lady spoke to him. "Aye, escape!" The old man laughed, "Nobody has e'er escaped from the Isle and li'ed t' tell anythin'. If that dolphinback e'en managed t' defeat the razor reef, the storms and the boilin' sea will force him back t' the Isle and damage his ship. Others have tried and failed. You know what happened t' Lee Crab when he tried, Gar." He paused for a sec and continued. "lets say that he did manage t' escape and tell someone eh. Who would belie'e him? Arrr, The chances be the outside world may think he was tellin' a big ole fish story." After he said all that, this got the old man thinking that the dolphinback may have found a way to escape the isle and reconsidered. He turned to Rex. "Arrr, you have a nice collection o' weapons thar man. By any chances you have any swords in your collection? Me not t' be fond o' firesticks. Ne'er have been, Aye." Barry himself didn't want to see this great land turned in to a zoo. He was thinking of joining this movement to save the Isle. Then he turn to the sandy coloured baryonyx. "What do ya think me matey, Aye.?" The baryonyx gazed at the group and nodded in agreement."Me thinks Crocosaur agrees. We will join ya, Gar."

Arithia smiled at the man's accent as Blazetail shifted uncomfortably underneath her weight. She growled to get Arithia's attention, "Arry, I, uh, left my mark on Harry" she muttered
Arithia raised an eyebrow, "Left your mark?" she queried
Blazetail whispered so no one else would hear, "Back on the boat, when I went to get Rex back, I, uh, bit him"
"YOU DID WHAT?!" Arithia almost screamed
She was not sure whether or not Harry's father would believe him, but the crew and the immense gash on his chest would more than likely be proof enough. She looked around at the men around her, moaned, and laid her head down on Blazetail's neck. The Afrovenator whined a little and hung her head in defeat. "I'm sorry, Arry" she whispered
Arithia patted her neck, "You were angry at the moment, Blaze, it's okay"

Rex looks at Barry "swords will only get u killed in this fight, even with the right armor u will still get kill, if ur going to fight u better get used to fire weapons and they are not call firesticks any more got it, their weapons k"

He looked at Arithia "do u know any about Dinotopian History during 5 dark years of Dinotopian Past?, if u dont i'll explain how this country was the most power full fighting force ever to rule the stars, some Dinos know of me and bow their heads in respect for my past job and what i did to safe guard Dinotopia and its people, but that was on another planet called Earth also, the last of my kind brounght the last pure dinos who knew of the old home and bronght them here to this land where they were given a chance to relive what was change for them all those years ago"

Barry turned his gaze back at Rex as he started to hand him a fire weapon. A flashback came to Barry's mind when he was a small child. The gun triggered off a paranoid reaction( almost like a trance out effect) of that tragic moment when he and his family were under attack by a group of pirates. Barry was given a gun
and was ordered by the pirate captain to kill his parents or be killed himself. This was a very hard choice for the lad as he had only seconds to choose. Barry choose to kill them to save his own life then gave the gun back to the captain. From that day on every-time Barry saw a gun of any kind it triggered off this paranoid reaction. Every-time Barry was offered a gun he refused it. He made a vow never to use one even if his life depended on it. A few minutes had gone by when Barry came back to reality, He stepped back with great fear and refused it. "Arrr, no, argh! Me can not, and Me will not, argh!" Then he turned to Arithia an I his mind an image of his mother took her place. When he saw it, he took off running towards the forest in haste. The sandy coloured baryonyx just stood there with a confused look on his snout because he never seen the old man do this sort of thing before He didn't know either to stay there or go after him…

Arithia sensed a lot of pain in Barry's face as he looked at her. She wanted to run after him, but held herself back, feeling awkward and out of place. "Rex, I think we should let him try his hand at a sword, he could arrange a hand-to-hand combat team if it ever comes to that point. It would be the last thing they would expect." she suggested, hoping to form a compromise.
Blazetail spoke to Crocosaur, "Do you know what happened back there? He seemed very afraid" she said concernedly
Arithia dismounted and put her arm around Defyus, "How are you feeling now, Defyus? Any better?"

Rex nods pulling out a black case that 5 feet long and opens it pulling out a 4 foot sword with dragon like teath on one side and very sharp blade on the other side "these swords at not normal swords, the dragon teath are hollow and full of Nano Tech the heads to the heart of the enemy and explodes, so one scrach with that end can kill"

Barry continued running through the forest towards the Backbones as the traumatic scenes kept playing through his mind. He kept looking back to see if he was being followed by the pirates again. He kept shouting as he went. "No, argh! Bloody no, argh! Me well not shoot again, argh! Not her, argh! "Gathranth understood what the Afrovenator said, but not being able to speak, he quickly stamped out in saurian footprint language his response. [No clue. What's going on? Never saw this from Barry before. Not know what to do.] Then all sounds from the forest stopped. Then a concerned look came on the baryonyx's snout. He knew something had to be done.

Arithia's heart stopped with the natural sounds of the forest. She looked at Defyus, "Unless you have entirely regained your strength, I think it would be best if you stayed here, Defyus"
She nodded and smiled at Rex, leapt onto Blazetail's back, and did what she had meant to do a good deal of time before; she went after Barry at full tilt.

Defyus was almost completely recovered, but nodded at Arithia's suggestion to stay there. He could train like Rex had requested, then he could be more use against Harry when he did decide to come back.

Taking one of the guns and a replica of a human, Defyus went to train for the impending war.

[Barry the Baryonyx]

Gathranth followed both Arithia and Blazetail as they took off to find Barry. Gathranth was worried what Barry might do to them if they found him. He didn't want to see anything happen to Arithia and Blazetail. Gathranth saw that look on Barry's face when he gazed at Arithia and took off. The baryonyx saw a similar look on the old mans face before when the old man was upset. It confused the baryonyx before. Gathranth could remember the old man shouting and it scared him.{Crocosaur thinking the words Barry said} "no, argh! Me will not do it!" What could it mean? What was Barry scared of? Why did he leave me? These were a few questions going through the baryonyx's mind at the time. He had to catch up to Arithia and Blazetail before something bad happens.

"hey Rex, what are u doing with those weapons, it agaist the laws of Dinotopia" said one of them.

"Conucil, u know the person named Harry, well he escaped and is bringing an army to turn this place into a theme park and i'm the only one who knows how to fight and train u guys into sodiers.
