Beside Harry a saurian strode. His appearance was just as arrogant as Harry's was. Defyus couldn't bear to look at the saurian or Harry.

It was bad enough the memory of his old companion had to resurface, now he had to bear the site of an arrogant saurian that looked almost exactly like his old companion had looked like.

"Maybe we should take another route to Lunch so that we can avoid Harry?" Defyus suggested.

[Tiasalle and Braveheart]

Arithia nodded, she couldn't believe Harry actually had a Saurian Partner! He himself had called them scalies and had degraded her for loving Blazetail as a sister. She nodded in agreement to Defyus' suggestion and they headed a different direction. Harry and his partner, however, had different plans. "Where ya going, huh? You'd better be careful, people would think you were ignoring me"
Arithia did just that, "You guys wouldn't mind if I rode Blazetail for a while with you, would you? I need to get in my excercise."

Defyus nodded his approval to Arithia, but before she and Blazetail could get out of sight, Harry had mounted his saurian partner in an attempt to catch up with Arithia.

"Catch up with Arithia Rex, I'll try to distract Harry," Defyus urged.

He had to act quickly. Harry was almost ready to take off. As much as he opposed violence, he couldn't think of any other way to stop Harry from whatever purposes he had in mind.

Running over to Harry, Defyus swung his right fist into Harry's right jaw. Harry tipped over and fell to the ground on the other side of his saurian.

The blow struck to quickly for Defyus to see. The saurian's tail swung around and slammed into Defyus side, knocking him to the ground. Defyus began to wish that Rex hadn't left to take care of Arithia, he was already out of sight and no longer capable of helping Defyus out of his current predicament.


Defyus tried to get back up, but couldn't because of the foot that now rested on his chest.

"I wasn't actually going to hurt Arithia. I merely wanted to inform her that I was leaving this place called Dinotopia. I guess you can give the message to her. If you're wondering why I took this saurian as a partner, it has nothing to do with an actual relationship. You see, this saurian is deaf and mute, so he has no idea what I'm saying, but will still do what I ask him to do. I need him to convince my father that this place actually exists so that he can come back and make this place a tourist attraction."

It all made sense now. He didn't actually want the saurian, he was only using him as a means to an end.

Harry remounted his saurian and rode off toward the Dinotopian shore.

Defyus stumbled to his feet to tell Arithia and Rex about Harry's plans.

Rex looked at Defyus running up to them and looked at harry and his dino heading to the shore and draws his weapon and loads a one round in it "sorry guys, but i must draw back to my old ways"

opens his pack and pulls out a combat helmet with Black Raptor Armed Forces and Dintopian Armed Forces painted on both sides of the helmet and puts it on "there we go, target locked aiming for left shoulder, and fireing"

the weapon fires with sound as the round hits its mark knocking Harry off his dino "that round didn't kill him, just wounded him"

he ran over to harry and explain to the dino in foot print letters on what harry was going to do and the dino noded and stared at harry angrily. "harry, its foolish to get off this island, this place has no wars, no crime, and none of the other things in to out side world, trust me, i know more about the outside world than u, if u ever get off this place, and bring u dad and his armies, i'll crush them with ease, i've fought millions of races in my day and i've always been out numbered 100 to 1, so ur father will die if he come here and i'm make sure u see his death before i kill u, lose these thoughts and try and learn what this place has to offer young one"

Arithia and Blazetail kept trotting away until Arithia heard Defyus call her name. "Wait up!" he said
Arithia turned worriedly, his voice sounded panicked. She leapt off of Blazetail's back, hugged the Afrovenator fondly, and turned to Defyus, "What's the matter?" she asked
Defyus struggled to catch his breath, "Harry...leaving...Dinotopia"
"What?" Arithia couldn't believe what Defyus was saying, who could ever leave Dinotopia?
"What is it?" Blazetail asked in raptor
Arithia repeated Defyus' message and the Afrovenator growled, "He had better not" she warned.

Defyus couldn't believe what had happened, Rex had used a gun! Guns were outlawed on Dinotopia. It just wasn't right for Rex to get away with it. Yes, Harry shouldn't have tried to leave the island, but that didn't excuse Resx's action.

Defyus ran back over to where Rex had Harry pinned down, Arithia and her saurian were close behind. At least we don't have to worry about Harry now that Rex is here. Defyus thought to himself.

Unfortunately, Harry wasn't finished yet.

As soon as it appeared he had the situation under control, Rex loosened his grip on Harry. That was a mistake. Immediately, Harry grabbed Rex's pistol that was in Rex's pocket and shot Rex in the right shoulder.

It all happened so quickly that it was a blur.

Harry struggled to his feet, and with a look of intense hatred said, "Don't try to stop me, you'll see, my father will come and turn this island into a theme park, and you'll be the exhibits."

He ran off toward the shore with Rex's gun in his hand. At first it didn't seem like Harry could actually get away, after all, it wasn't like he had transportation. But then Defyus saw it, a ship just on the other side of the razor reef, if Harry could reach it, he would be able to escape.

Seeing that Rex was incapacitated by the wound he had taken, Defyus realized that he had to take action.

"Arithia, please watch after Rex, I have to try and stop Harry," Fermire said.

Fermire ran after Harry, he could only hope that he wouldn't be too late.

OOC: I hope it was okay that I controlled both of your characters a little bit, but I figured that Harry had to escape sometime, it might as well be now. Sorry if I didn't go along with what you were thinking Rex.

Rex stood up roaring with anger and looked at his left arm and comp poped out of it he hit a few buttons and took off running after Harry as he his form change into a Uathraptor body. "i'm going to kill u harry then i'm taking the fight to homeland"

harry looked back only to see a dino running after him "oh no" he said with scream and fired the handgun at Rex who was hit 9 more times and fell to the ground turning in his human form.

Rex got up again he had been hit three times in the chest, two time in the left leg, four times in the right leg and looks at his blood "been long time since i saw my own blood and fall over for the loss of blood

Defyus was even more determined to stop Harry than ever. He had shot Rex nine more times! He had to stop Harry's mad plan, at whatever the cost.

Arithia will have to take care of Rex. Defyus thought to himself.

Harry was already in the water and swimming fast toward the razor reef. Defyus waded into the water far enough to begin swimming instead of walking. Harry was mad, that much was clear, but whether or not his madness would jeopardize all of Dinotopia still remained to be seen.

Rex woke up with Arithia standing over him "reach into my pack and pull out the black box inside there plz" he said as he sat up with pain.

"Defyus, leave him be, i'll treach those who will figth to defend this great land, i'll stop his dad or die try, send word to Water Fall City now" he yelled out to Defyus

It never was completely determined why Defyus didn't hear Rex call out that day. It may have simply been that he hadn't heard him, or maybe he had chosen to ignore Rex's call. But for whatever reason, Defyus continued his pursuit of Harry.

Harry was apparently a great swimmer. He had already swam twice the distance Defyus had. Harry reached the other side of the razor reef just as Defyus began the treacherous journey across it.

Unfortunately, the ship had already seen Harry and was moving around to pick him up. The ship threw out a life ring for Harry to grab onto, which he gladly did.

Defyus was beginning to loose hope that he'd be able to stop Harry, when the ship suddenly came to a halt. Defyus knew what had happened, the ship had gotten stuck on the razor reef.

Defyus swam harder than ever toward the ship. His plan now was simple: get on board, explain the situation to the crew and get Harry and the crew back to the shore as quick as possible.

The sailors on board weren't throwing him any life ring to help him out. They were too preoccupied with getting the boat unstuck and tending to the wounds Harry had sustained.

That's more than he deserves. Defyus thought to himself.

Nevertheless, he continued to swim toward the ship and eventually managed to grab onto a ladder leading to the ship's deck.

Defyus' victory was short lived, however, as the ship lurched off of the razor reef, Defyus felt his heart sink.

He now had to make a choice: risk letting Harry go free, or leave the world he had always known behind.

Rex got up with pain all over "hey, let go, i'll defend this place with my life, so let go now Defyus, its not worth it, they will kill u, they work for Harry" yell out again

As much as Rex was trying to stop Defyus, none of his words could be heard across the razor reef. The ship was already to far away for anyone on the ship to hear anyone on the shore, much less understand them.

Defyus had yet to make his decision. He either had to go back to the shore or try and hang on and travel with Harry to wherever he planned to go.

As much as Defyus longed to be back on the shore, he knew he had to stay on the ship. He couldn't let Harry get away or come back if he did get away. So Defyus decided to stay.

The ship began to pick up speed as it cleared the razor reef. Defyus would later wish that he had heard Rex's warning and plea. Climbing up the ladder and on to the deck, Defyus prepared himself to plea his case to the sailors.

Harry saw him first.

"Hey! That's one of them, he punched me across the face. Get him!" Harry called out.

"Wait, I can explain!" Defyus pleaded.

The sailors were apparently in no mood to talk. The rushed across the deck to where Defyus stood. He tried to get away, but soon both of his arms had been grabbed by two of the muscular sailors and he was trapped. He wasn't going anywhere on his own.

The sailors dragged him across the deck to where Harry stood.

"He doesn't deserve to live. He tried to kill me," Harry spat into Defyus' face with disgust.

Defyus was about to try and plead his case, when Harry said the two words that he dreaded the most. "Kill him."

"No, no wait. I didn't do anything wrong! I was trying to protect Dinotopia. Please, please reconsider!"

Defyus' words fell on the unhearing ears of the sailors as they dragged him across the deck to the side of the ship. Stretching both of his arms completely out, the sailors stood on either side of him as Harry moved into position to deliver the fatal shot.

Rex's gun was in Harry's hand. "You won't cause me anymore trouble, Defyus. You're time is up."

A single shot sprang forward out of the gun, burying itself into Defyus' chest. He couldn't breath, his vision was blurring and he was getting dizzy.

The two sailors that had grabbed his arms, threw him over the side of the ship and into the sea. Pain flowed through out Defyus' body. He couldn't move. Time seemed to stand still as he plunged into the frigid sea off the side of the ship. Water swirled around him as his world grew darker and darker. He was frozen in the water, nothing inside of him could compel him to move. As he went further and further into the water, his world grew darker and darker...

Rex ran to the sea when he heard the gun shot and took off across the water a lighting speed landing on boat in flash and jumps off the other side and drags Defyus back onto the ship and looks at Harry and the two men on the ship "now u will fight a true warrior, one who has lived through over 3000 wars and this one is just another lame war for me"

Defyus knew nothing of the world around him, when Rex had put him back on the boat, he had been completely unaware of it. Now he was completely unaware of the battle that was about to take place.

However, he wasn't going to be around to watch it even if he could. When Rex had placed him on the ship he had not taken care to place him far enough away from the side of the ship.

The waves that constantly crashed onto the ship sent Defyus' body sliding over the side of the ship and once again back into the frigid cold waters off the shore of Dinotopia. Defyus was still unconscious and unaware that he was slowly drowning.

Suddenly a dark mass in the water, grabbed onto Defyus and carried him away from the boat and away from the imminent fight.

[Tiasalle and Braveheart]

Arithia held on to Defyus' collar with all of her might. She thanked the heavens for the swimming lessons Blazetail had given her so long ago. Finally hoisting Defyus onto the sands of the beach, she couldn't help but peak at what her partner was doing.

Blazetail was infuriated, and one never got an Afrovenator infuriated and got away with it. With a mighty leap, she landed on the boat and roared. Rex was there, poised for action. Harry was also there and Blazetail felt her blood boil. Snapping at the boy, she left a good-sized wound across his chest. However, her mission was not to kill. She grabbed Rex's collar and threw him back into the water, diving after him. "Now is not the time, Rex" she said when his face expressed obvious yearning, "Leave them be...for now"

Rex nods and swims to shore, when they reach shore he said "i'll train an army to defend this great land"

He opens his pack and pull out hundreds of Mini-Stores "no its time for u guys to find out who i am, i'm soildier not of earth as u can see i fast, strong, can take gun shot wounds that will kill a normal human, and i can transform"

he taps the button on one of the Mini-Stores and tosses it, when it hit the ground it explodes, as the dust settles a building about the size of a small barn. he open the building and start takeing out tables and sets them up and start bringing out weapons and ammo of all kind.

he tosses Arithia a blue pill "give this to Defyus, it will heal is wound, dont worry about my wounds, they are not life threating"

he tosses another Mini-Store and explodes into another building with 4 trucks armed with missle pods and machine guns

Defyus opened his eyes very slowly. At first all he could was blurred images, but then the images began to clear up and he heard voices.

"Defyus, are you okay? Wake up, please!"

Defyus realized who the voice belonged to. Arithia.

Defyus set up with a start. Am I actually alive still? He thought to himself.

His wound from the gunshot was shrinking fast and he felt no pain from it. He was amazed. Rex must have had something to do with this. Defyus mused as he looked up to see Rex busily working on one plan or another.

He looked over to Arithia again to see her smiling face staring back at him. He was safe at last, for a while at least.

With that, he fell back over from exhaustion and passed out.

Rex check the PR-590s to make sure there clean and ready to go "Arithia, send word to evey city to ask for ever man or women 17 to 25 to come to Tree Town, dont tell them why, just tell them something k"

Arithia was confused at the sudden, commanding air Rex now had. Arithia saw that Defyus had passed out and let him sleep for a little while, perhaps that was all he needed.
She smiled at his sleeping form, mussed Rex's hair just because she wanted to, and leapt easily onto Blazetail's back. They were off in the blink of an eye, darting towards the Post Office to send word of the future invasion.

Defyus woke up once more to find Rex busily working in front of him. He was still slightly dazed from his adventure on the ship. Hopefully Harry won't be back for a while. He thought to himself. He wasn't quite ready for another fight yet.

Moving to his knees and then to his feet, Defyus was slightly off balance for a moment before steadying himself. He looked over to where Rex was standing and then looked around for Arithia, but she was no where to be found.

"Do you know where Arithia is?" Defyus asked Rex.
