If you've ever wondered why miracinonyx is on the rp/fanfic species list, that would be my doing! I was once active on the Dinotopia MUCK server. Outfitted in a pouched, harness, Kivuli worked in the postal service as a courier. At the time of creation the miracinonyx was considered the ancient North American cheetah and thought to be related to the African cheetah, though subsequent genetic research suggests they were more closely related to the modern cougar and developed cheetah-like features through parallel evolution.
