So very sorry about the extended downtime of the site, but all issues with the Proboards Term of Service have been resolved. This site has a lot of potential to be active again like it was when it first opened (And before it closed apparently  ) If you have any suggestions, ideas, or requests on new features, additions, or way to revamp and revitalize the site, please let me know. I am also going to make this site one of my home tabs so I will check here way more often. Again I am so, so sorry. |

Hey! Awesome! Unexpected joy in my in-box. :D
As for improvements, the bit I usually gripe about on RPs-the graphics-look pretty great as far as I care, so I'd say the best thing to be done is advertise frellin everywhere. Update the scrolling ads, trade ads and affiliate, post in other boards and RP sites and all that nasty boring stuff that no one ever likes to do. ;P
Maybe a contest prompting members to advertise? Or some sort of in-game event, just to dredge up activity and re-break the ice?

Great to see the place is fixed, too!
(We were about to re-make the board!)
Anyway, since the place was down, we were thinking on starting RP's on some of the other boards.
But since Dinotopia RP is back from the dead, we can finally take up where we left off!
(AND start new Rps on the other boards... I like being busy! ;D)

Great idea silver! A contest of some sorts would be great. Hmmm What could the reward be for getting affiliates?
I just noticed that the character creation page no longer works (must be a conflict with a newer version of proboards) so I'm adding a new feature that I think is pretty sweet.
I think this would mostly be used for the multi thread rp.
Under your avatar there is a box that says "Create new character". If you click it, it takes you to a page to choose a species, add a name, and choose an occupation. Once you create a character, you can link them to their bios by going to their thread in the washed up board and click the plus sign next to their name. Click on mine to see an example. Both of mine are currently posted in the same thread, so they are linked to the same place.
I need to add new species and occupations. I just threw in a few random ones that I could think of. What suggestions do you have? I'd hate to leave out a species that someone is already using.
I also need to figure out the strength/defense and what they can be changed to for our purposes.
Another thing about this is that new members can't just pop in with their 20 characters and dump in a bunch of randomness. You have to have certain post numbers to add more characters. (Any suggestions on how often new ones should be allowed?
What are your thoughts on this? Love it? Hate it?

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeees! It's back! (Not that I ever really took part in any rps here.  But I loved reading everyone elses. ;D I've got a fresh urge to try again so I'm hoping to rp here and elsewhere too. This is going to be soooooo fun! Thanks, Dakota, for reviving the board.  |

Mn. Maybe a fun position, like one of the habitat partners, or somesuch, within the game, or some sort of shiny for their character?
The little sidebar thingie is bril-I love the handy link!-but I'm not gonna lie, I've been gaming for over ten years and I've never once made a fighter type character, to say nothing of being slightly out of place in Dinotopia, so the stats seem a little superfluous, at least, to me, anyhow. No idea what they could be replaced with, though. Leveling up like digital RPs could be an option, but there's all kinds of complicated there, too.

Good to see this place is back up and running.
We should keep copies of the RPs on more than one place
just in case that sort of thing happens again in the future.
EDIT: I just put up an announcement on The Rainy Basin Resort to let people know the Dinotopian RP is back.

Somehow it got screwed up.  Is there a way I can redo it? 
Can you add a baryonyx species too.
