I don't have time to elaborate right now, but post your questions about the below and you will learn what is up with crazy me.

The below is part of a .doc file I am working up on my home computer.

Story Concepts:
A Harley street dentist is in training with many healers across Dinotopia as he tends to the teeth of countless dinosaurs in villages and towns on the Island.

An isolated family keeping a vegetable farm near Rainy Basin catch a strange sickness.

The story of the Downsend Convoy tragedy: The Skybax rider assigned to spot for a convoy suffers the loss of his mount during their attempt to rescue a lost explorer in the Rainy Basin. He returns to the convoy on foot and discovers that the convoy under his charge has been attacked, all its members killed.

Human conspirators are emboldening juvenile Tyrannosaurs to enter the villages and attack as they wish.

The Clan fights of Rainy Basin.

A man and his Saurian companions travel the forests of Dinotopia gathering for trade.

A young boy awaits Dolphinbacks to greet them and prepare them for Dinotopia.

A little girl's father sends for the Saurian who will become his daughter's companion.

A young Dolphinback puts an unfriendly young Skybax to the test.

A famed 'beautifier' and her Saurian-C dare trespass into Rainy Basin with a determined DB.

Are these ideas for things to work into rps? If so, I like them a lot!

I'd be interested in doing one of these. I like the one about the dentist. If it's an rp--count me in! If it's a story--write it and I'll read it!

If it's a communal story chain kind of thing--one person writes one, then someone else writes the next one and so on--I'm interested!

Whatever it is... I'm curious.

And I assume that by "I'm dreaming of Anemone..." you're trying to make me guilty and get me to actually post on that one rp. Eheh... Yeah, I'll get right to that! ;D

Anemone, Hyper Dragon;

I'm glad both of you have expressed interest. I would like to be brief right now, so I will do my best to make things clear to the both of you.

I want to get a solid group of six to ten people together to help build a sort of "Pool Of Knowledge". Forgive me Dakota, but I am thinking that the ToP may be a better place to do this. I believe all here are also members there, so feel free to pitch in and join the project if you wish. I am contacting ToP's Admin(s) today to run the idea past them and see what they think and perhaps get official permission. I hope the thread may eventually grow into its own Forum. We'll have to see.

Anemone; most of the stuff above is just loose ideas which I really have no firm plans to use or develope. What happens with any ideas I post anywhere depends on other members. I do intend stories to be written and your "communal story chain" idea sounds good to me but as though it might require a degree of cooperation between the participants which may be difficult.

To Anemone: the operational word is "with" not "of". "Dreaming with Anemone . . ." I do not really care for straight RPing, so I really am not altogether interested in seeing anyone post new under either of the RPs I have responded to. If someone does, I will feel obligated to stick with it.

Dwaggie; I hate "sex scenes" as much as you do and see no reason to describe any scenes of violence which may be part of a storyline.

I would love us to get together and 'work out' a few of my story concepts, but I greatly encourage the both of you to concept your own and post them around.

I suggest a system of voting to decide what will be developed when and by whom, but now is not the time for that. The time will be when we might get a good group of "regulars" together.

P.S. I'll see what Dakota thinks of this and see what a ToP response might be like. Whether I have support or not, I do plan to start something. Where it will go, who knows?

Hello Dwaggie;

I love to explain things, Dwaggie, but so often it is not worth the effort because no one is really interested.

You did ask, however.

I guess I mean a sort of club that anyone can join. The "Pool Of Knowledge" I referred to is for fan fic writers and RPers to draw from for characters, information, concepts and other uses. Sort of like a library where you can check things out.

One feature of the Pool of Knowledge will be a Question and Answer thread. We can ask stupid or insightful questions and get answers from other members, either based on the facts established in Gurney's works and from the Dinotopia chapter book series, or based on logical development and our own imagination.

The idea of "voting" may not fly because it may very well be too complex or impractical, but I will suggest the system when the time comes and when I have it pretty well worked out.

The Pool Of Knowledge will also involve discussions on how to update, develope and modify the Topic threads within it.

If you still are not clear on things, I am not sure I should try to explain farther now. Hopefully, you will be able to see everything for yourself soon and figure out how things will work.

P.S. It has been four days and no reply from Dakota or the Admins at ToP concerning my concept. It doesn't look good, but if I don't hear anything by Monday or Wednesday I'm going to try to start a few threads on the different aspects of the Pool Of Knowledge.

Well, I can develope more for certain and I was not as detailed as I might have been toward the end of what I have done already, but Standtall really needs to step in with Patrick and Farflight now. There is really nothing more I can do.

I already have just about the second longest single post in that RP; I don't want to go too overboard. The quality of what I have done is way overdone for an RP, anyway. I'll be a lot simpler and straightforward in future.

And the bad news is that Dakota says he hasn't had contact with Standtall in a while. I hope he's alright . . .
