Flyk was ambling lazily down the track, on her to the next trading post. The huge albino Hadrosaur looked around placidly at the surrounding vegetation, the thick jungle giving her white hide a green cast. Her pink eyes blinking as she walked through dapples of bright sunlight, stray beams that managed to break through the dense canopy above.
The 25 foot-long female slowed to a halt as she heard something - she was too far from the Rainy Basin to be concerned about carnivores, but a shiver of fear ran down her arched spine. She pushed herself up to stoand erect for a moment, her large hauches taking her weight as she craned her neck to search for any movement; before falling to all fours with the slow inevitable grace of a falling tree.

It was a fine day in these parts. Nothing to trouble a blue tufted Microraptor from his favorite pastime: digging up insects, and the long awaited eating thereof! Bentfeather had just located a tree, broken in half a decade ago and rotted to perfection; and to what his instincts agreed, was just loaded with scrumtious termites! He glided from treetrunk to treetrunk, root digger in his lower talons, until he arrived at the still erect fallen log that he had discovered.
He picked and poked at the splintering bark with his tool until he saw the yummy forms he was seeking, squirming first to defense, and then away from thier peril; but he just scooped them up with his tongue, or grabbed as many as his tiny and slender forelimb coluld grab. A tree falling in the forest definitely makes a sound no matter what philosophers say, Bentfeather thought as a thunderous noise was heard a hundred yards behind him; and he immediately scurried up his lunch counter and leapt from its' height. In the tree he landed on he saw the strangest creature he had ever seen; or rather he had seen a Parasolophus before, but never a creamy white albino like this!
"My dear, my dear! Your hide is so white!", Bentfeather squeaked in English, hoping the creature would understand. "Either that, or there is something wrong with my sight!"

Flyk started, twisting her head to look at the tiny avian, already lowering on her hauches as she prepared to run. When she saw the Microraptor, she relaxed slightly, turning her immense body to face the tree. 'Nothing wrong with your sight, friend.' She raised herself on her hide legs, so her pink tinged eyes were level with the small blue creature.

Bentfeather heard the creature honk in a form of English, tainted with her own Sorolophan accent; then turned on the tree trunk so he wasn't upside down. He shoved the root digger back in his leather pouch he carried his things in, which flopped on his stomach as he glides; and reguarded this tawny Parasolophus inquisitvely.
"Greetings, friend! My name is Bentfeather.", he squawked. "What brings you here in this fine weather?"
He thought he had better explain himself first. "I am foraging for insects in the leaf litter.", he smiled toothily. "Most are delicious, though some are rather bitter..."

'Nice rhymes, little flier.' Flyk snorted, blowing warm wet air towards the blue Microraptor, 'I'm travelling between trading posts. She settled back down on all fours, backing away to look up at the tree; she looked rather nervous for a creature her size, her head twitching to one side occasionally.

"I'm on the road the whole year long, hoping to hear other creatures' song.", Bentfeather said. "Ever hear of the Dinosaur Olympics? If so, I need not be so specific!"
A giant moth flew by, and the giantess standing before him flinched as he leapt from the tree, caught it and alighted onto another tree beside her. He apologised silently and went back to his conversation, still chewing.
"I seek ones who may love challenge, of song or skill or other such talents.", he continued. "Ones who could perform in olympic style contests; but so far all I've met with is protests...", he smiled once again. "Sorolophus' voices are the best around. May I inquire if you would make a sound?"
(OCC: translation... Can she sing?) _____

(she can but shes shy and waaay too modest; so she wouldn't admit to it ) Flyk started, moving back a couple of steps as the avian flitted across her path, her pink eyes watching the insect's demise mournfully. As the conversation turns to Flyk, she ducks her head, her forelegs pacing from side to side; she seems uncomfoatble. When Bentfeather asks her if she would sing, she hurredly shakes her head,'N-no, I can't..I'm not a good s-singer.' Her head was flicking to one side, like a nervous tic, sending tremors down her long spine...ending in a rather comical tail wiggle.

Bentfeather listened to her reply. He was not sure if she was nervous or shy, but the way she moved as he asked the question said that she was more revolted at his eating habits than his inquiry; or so he thought! Instead of pressing, he decided to change his tack.
"By the way you move, I see that you dance.", Bentfeather chuckled. "Unles, of course, you stepped in some ants!"
She looked even more confused now! Bentfeather didn't want her to be too frightened of him; but how could that be, him being so small? He gasped in a smiling way and asked the question so large on his mind.
"I may be a dinosaur of dubious fame.", he said. "But the one thing I lack is I don't know your name...!"
