The young woman had been swimming for hours. Hours. She climbed ashore on a beach, unsure of where she was. Or who was alive. Where did the other people on her boat go? Was there any civilisation on this island? How big was it? Questions swarmed the poor girl's mind as she stood and scanned her surroundings.
She decided to go inland, as if there was any civilisation here then there would certainly be someone closer to the centre of the island. She spotted a river and thought it be best if she followed it so she didn't get lost. She began walking, pulling her clothing closer to her for warmth.
She soon saw a village or small town up ahead, so, bursting with glee, she hurried over to it, searching for someone to help her. To explain where she was, to help her search for the rest of the people on the ship, to help her go back home.

A pair of watchers observed, far above, as she worked her way toward town. Highsoar and Alyssa were also headed there, making a delivery, and as the skybax dipped a bit lower, Alyssa could see that she must be a shipwreck victim, like she had once been herself.
When they landed at the village's Skybax roost, Alyssa was quick to look for someone to tell what she'd seen.
(hmm no interaction there but maybe eventually...)

(I suppose I can transform that into an interaction of some sort *shrugs*)
Once she was in what looked to be the town square, the young woman searched the area for a sign of anyone. There was no one much around, and she figured this was because of the small population in this town. However, she would not let something like that get her down. She at once hurried over to the nearest shop, in a sort of half-walking, half-jogging fashion.
It was when she reached the door, hand on handle, that she heard a screeching sound. It sounded like some sort of bird squawking, but when she looked up and searched the sky for the source of the sound, she soon found it was like a bird she had never seen before. It was certainly a winged creature, but she wasn't sure if it was even a bird.
As it disappeared from view, she hadn't a clue what it could've been. She told herself to stop thinking about it, that it was a bird, and she just being silly. Realizing that she was no longer clutching the door handle, and that her legs had taken her a few steps in the direction of the 'bird', she shook her head and tried to wipe every thought about the 'bird' from her mind.
