As Gurrah closed in on the two intruding boys, he realized that something was amiss. The smell in the air was different..........
He whipped his huge head to the tree. That boy was gone. He growled in frustration and then noticed that another egg was missing.
That was the last straw. He went insane at that point. He took as deep a breath as he could and roared the loudest he had in his life. It echoed for miles on end.
He caught the scent of the boy and charged after him, back in the direction of the pit. Arral was preoccupied with the rest of the boys, he had to get the egg back before she found out. Perhaps she would take care of the other two...............
He was running at full speed and soon caught sight of the boy. A bulge appeared in his shirt.
The egg.
He roared again and bared down on the boy as they approached the pit. This time he would show no mercy......................

Having heard the loud roar while scouting the terrain ahead for a caravan that would be coming in a few days' time, Arithia and Blazetail darted towards the sound and found themselves in between an enormous Gigantosaurus and a boy with an egg. Instinctively, Blazetail bore her teeth in warning. She was only slightly smaller than the Gigantosaur, but she packed a powerful punch. Meantime, Arithia turned to the terrified boy, "Are you alright?" she asked She saw a bulge under his shirt and slapped her forehead, there was obviously more to the scene before her than she had seen. "Please don't tell me that's an egg" she muttered.

"We have to get my my friends before I let go of the egg, and yes it is an egg," Fermire said rushing to get all the information out that he could, the giant dinosaur would be there in seconds.
"If your saurian could carry one more person, we could probably reach my friends before that dinosaur reaches us, please its the only way that either of us are going to live to see another day. We have to go, okay?" Fermire pleaded.
It was too late, the giant dinosaur appeared through the trees, running full speed toward the saurian and the two humans. Something in the dinosaur's eyes told Fermire that he wasn't going to stop for anything. The dinosaur was mad.
Fermire had a split second to do anything to avoid his impending doom. The pit was just to his left. Not wasting another second, Fermire jumped into the pit and found a small side chamber in the pit. Crawling down into the side chamber, Fermire waited to see what the dinosaur would do.

ooc: Just wondering, what exactly is Blazetail?
Gurrah emerged from the trees, coming up on the boy. He was ready to unleash his furry, his anger, his complete madness that had broke out...........
He found the boy.........along with another human and a saurian. She was bearing her teeth at him, indicating to back off. Gurrah stopped short and staggared to catch his balance. He was in no mood for displays, but she was nearly his size and was a serious threat. He roared at Blazetail and bared his teeth back, standing as tall as he could.
He roared again and stepped forward. Go away! I want my egg back and i don't want to hurt you over it!
While he focused on holding the saurian off, the boy jumped into the pit.
The egg!
Was that boy crazy? He tried to move to the pit, but Blaizetail was in the way. He could not afford to waste time in a fight right now, he had to get the egg back.

ooc: I think Blazetail is a Utharaptor, but I'm not sure.
Fermire realized that the side chamber he had found wasn't just a hole in the side of the pit. It was a tunnel!
The sounds above the pit indicated that a fierce stand off was taking place. Fermire had to try and escape through the tunnel, it was Luke and Garet's only chance.
Crawling further into the tunnel, Fermire continued to make his way slowly but surely deeper into the tunnels dark recesses.

ooc: can Utahraptors be almost as big as a Giganotosaurus?
This could not be happening. The boy had dissapeared completly into the pit.
Infuriated, he roared again charged to the pit, knocking over Blazetail over in the process. He'd give her a fight if he had to, but he had to see what had happened to his egg.
He peered down and saw a small opening leading to a tunnel underground.
He had to get down there. He bent down and leapt into the pit. The ground thundered and he almost lost his footing, but he whipped around and saw the hole. The boy was in there, but he was fading fast in the dark.
Gurrah growled and stuck his snout into the hole, widining it greatly. He roared and the sound echoed deafiningly through the tunnel. He pushed his head all the way through, but he could not go any farther and the boy was just barley out of his reach. He snapped at him, but caught nothing. He snapped again and grabbed the boy by the leg. He tried to pull him out, but the tunnel was narrow. His head was stuck!

ooc: Blazetail's what is called an Afrovenator. A 30-foot long raptor that has webbed feet. The name means "African Hunter". I don't blame you for not knowing, it's an uncommon saurian.
Arithia saw the scene before her flash in front of her eyes. She dismounted Blazetail, "Try to help the Gigantosaur with his egg, I'm going to make sure the boy's friends are okay" The Afrovenator nodded and peered down the pit. She sighed when she realized that the large theropod was stuck and leapt gracefully into the pit with him. Digging at the dirt, she soon released his head, then called out to the boy that was hiding, "My partner is going to help your friends. We are ambassadors to the Rainy Basin, she knows Theropod fluently and can help in this situation. Come on out and give the egg back to its father" ******** Arithia looked around a clearing and saw the Gigantosaur's nest. A roar sounded throughout the forest and Arithia bounded in that direction. "Hey!" she called out, "Wait! Your egg is alright!"
ooc: I hope I'm not ruining any plot here. Please tell me so that I can change the entry if you want me to.

ooc: Actually, i've heard of an Afrivenator, but you're right, it's a very uncomon dinosaur. I've only heard of it from my dino book! And no, you're not ruining any plot. this entire RP has basically been a game of improve.
Gurrah released the boy's leg and shook his head. The Afrovenator had helped dig him out, and after she threatened a confrontation. He rose to full height and faced her.
"Thank you. I thought you were going to be trouble for a moment. I am honored to meet ambasadors. I hope you're friend is a good negotiator, my mate isn't fond of humans." he said. He then turned to the boy and roared: "I won't make a meal of you if you give me my egg back!" ******************** Arral growled in frustration. The two boys had retreated into the dense bush. She had them cornered, but she couldn't get passed the giant roots of a tree.
The bushes rustled and a female human emerged. She was obviously there to rescue the other two boys.
Enough of this, she thought to herself. She turned around and bellowed at the woman. "Leave my nest or you'll regret it!"

During this time, Fermire had been debating in his head whether or not to entrust his life to a single human. In the end his instinct for survival won out. The only leverage he had was the egg and he wasn't about to loose that. The huge dinosaur could just as easily gobble him up, rather than let him go.
While the dinosaur's were distracted because of the female dinosaur, Fermire crawled further into the mysterious side passage in the pit.
Wherever this leads to, it seems to be man made. Fermire thought to himself.
Crawling even further into the side chamber, it began to be easier to navigate, as the passage was getting bigger by the second. Behind him the sounds of the scuffle outside were fading fast.
Get away as quick as possible, was the only thought in Fermire's head, as he went deeper and deeper into the side chamber.

As Gurrah roared for the boy to return, the theif dissapeared further down the tunnel. Gurrah had been calmed after Blaizetail dug him out of the tunnel, but now his anger went of the chart. He trembled he was so mad and roared another earth-shattering roar. "RETURN MY EGG, BOY!"
He began to dig with his three-fingered claws. It did very little to widen the tunnel, but what else could he do? The boy had escaped into an area where Gurrah, big and powerful as he was, could not get anywhere near.
He had to get his egg back, no matter the cost.
Desperatly, he lowered his head, backed up and rammed the hole, trying to make it wider. This did nothing, however and gave Gurrah a headache. "Come back with my hatchling!" He turned to Blaizetail. "Please, help me get that infernal boy back here! That stupid boys' going to kill my egg! ****************** The woman refused to budge, and Arral was becoming impatient. She took another few steps forward, she lowred herself and snarled. "This is your last warning!"

Fermire couldn't hear anything behind him. none of the shouting that could be heard outside was audible at all where he was.
As the tunnel widened further, Fermire was able to stand on his feet and assess his current situation. Death was probably certain if he went back, so that wasn't an option. The only other way he could go was forward, wherever it lead to.
Onward he trekked, the tunnel began to slope upward as he went further. Soon it was hard to walk at all due to the incline. Then the tunnel began completely vertical, he couldn't go any further. But then he noticed several holes on the tunnel wall. Hand holes! Quickly, Fermire put his hands in the holes and climbed eagerly upward. If the tunnel stayed vertical, he would be out into the forest in just a few seconds.
Sunlight began to appear above him as he went higher and higher. He dared not to look down, but he willed himself to continue to look upward as he continued his journey, until finally he could go no further. A large object made out of large sticks and stones blocked his path to freedom and the outside world. Gently touching the object, it moved! He pushed further and then was able to see outside. To his astonishment, he immediately realized where he was. This once was a smuggler's tunnel! It was positioned directly beneath the giant dinosaur's nest. From his current viewpoint he could see the female dinosaur pinning down Luke and Garet as well as Arithia and Blazetail trying to sooth the other dinosaur's nerves. It didn't seem to be working.
Instead of making his presence known, Fermire decided to see how the current situation would work out.

Gurrah was on the verge of tears. That infernal boy had dissapeared down the tunnel with his egg, and there was nothing he could do about it............
He gave an agonizing roar. "BLAST YOU BOY!!!"
He leaps out of the pit, leaving Blaizetail behind and starts to follow where the tunnel leads undergound. He had no idea if there were any turns in the tunnel, his only hope was to go in a straight line..............
He found himslef back at the nest. Arral was still after the two boys and the female ambassador.
He smelt that scent again, he knew the boy was near. He followed the smell right by the nest and saw him peeking through the tunnel.
Gurrah beared his teeth and growled. "You're mine!" He judged that the tunnel was right below him since the boy was right in front of him. He lifted his foot and smashed the ground below him, causing a cave in. He grunted as he sunk into the ground a bit, but the tunnel was completly blocked by dirt, rocks and vegetation.
Gurrah lifted his foot and planted it on level ground. He roared again, confident that the boy could not escape.

Fermire tumbled down the passage and into the more horizontal part of the cave.
He heard a crack, a sickening crack. He couldn't bare to look down at the inside of his shirt, but he had too.
There was the egg, with a vertical crack running down it. Fermire couldn't bare the sight of the cracked egg, if only he hadn't decided to steal one of the eggs in the first place.
But then he remembered the real reason the egg had cracked; the dinosaur. It hadn't actually been Fermire's fought. The dinosaur had caused him to tumble back down into the tunnel and that was what had caused the crack.
He had to go back the other way. That was the only way out now. With tears blurring his vision, he stumbled down through the tunnel, back toward the pit.

OOC: When you caved in the tunnel, I took it that you had only caved in the exit to the tunnel and that the tunnel passageway and the other exit were still intact. Make sense?

ooc: that's not what i was going for, but let's just go with that.........
Gurrah growled in frustration as the boy scurried off in the tunnel. He couldn't see him of course, but he could still smell and hear him. Knowing that he was traveling back down the tunnel, Gurrah leapt over the boy and landed with a thunder farther down the path. He stomped the ground until the tunnel caved in, trapping the boy.
Using his feet he dug the hole he made until he could dip his head under it. He swung himself under and grabbed that pesky boy by the leg and forced him out of the underground haven.
"at last!" Gurrah dropped the boy from about five feet in the air and pinned him with his foot. "RETURN MY EGG!!!"
He stared the boy down, boring his eyes into the human's soul, willing guilt into it.

Fermire was at the end of his rope. He had no ace of spades in hand and the only thing he had to bargain with the mad dinosaur was a cracked egg. Showing the dinosaur the egg would likely send the crazed dinosaur over the edge.
Fermire's small demeanor compared to the dinosaur would be crushed easily beneath the dinosaur's powerful foot.
Then it happened. Fermire felt something move inside his shirt. It was a small movement at first, but growing in size. Soon a small dinosaur appeared from beneath Fermire's shirt and began to crawl out.
Maybe I have a chance yet. Fermire thought to himself.

Gurrah was so enraged that he was ready to rip that boy to shreads.............
The hatchling crawled from the boy's shirt and gazed int it's father's eyes.
Gurrah was stunned. The egg had hatched while under the care of that theif!
Luckly he was there to meet his youngster. He bends down and rubbs his snout against the hatchling. "My daughter........" he purrs, "You're safe now.........." He gently picks up the baby in his mouth and releases the boy from under his foot. He turns and faces him. "Get out now, and stay out!"
He placed the baby in the nest, and found that the rest of the clutch was hatching.
Arral nearby roared in frustration. In her attempt to scare off the female human the two boys had snuck out from under the tree and ran off. She chased after them for a few yards, but decided it wasn't worth it. She was instantly calmed when she saw the eggs hatching.
Then she spotted the boy still on the ground. She snarled and tried to squash him.
Gurrah didn't believe what he was doing, but he kicked Arral's foot away with his own protectively hovered over the boy and hissed "let him go. He brought no harm to our babies. We'll eat him if he comes back."
Arral shook her head and went to the nest. Gurrah gave the boy a "go away" look and joined his mate as his hatchlings were born.

Fermire obliged and without another word left the scene as quickly as possible. He wouldn't be coming back again. He had learned his lesson. He could only hope that the other two boys had as well.
he wouldn't return to the Rainy Basin again, at least, if he did, it wouldn't be to find those two dinosaurs and their new hatchlings.
He would leave them alone for good. If he was lucky, he would never see those two giant faces again.

Gurrah saw the boy leave and was at peace. At last, we are alone. He then turned away and went hunting to feed his children.
ooc: I guess it has ended?
