Mark was exhausted, despite the fact that he hadn't actually been flying that long.
"I'm alright, thank you." Mark said to the skybax. "The question is, are you okay?"
Mark looked down at the crippled skybax. His right wing was visibly bent out of place, worse yet, both of them were stuck on a cliff side with no conceivable way to get down. The strange discs were flying around, trying to find others to attack. It would only be a matter of time before they found Mark and the skybax again.

"Gaah, don't worry, i'm fine......." Messo shifted his wing slightly. "Geeeeh, don't worry, i've had worse. Honest!" But he wasn't honest about that. He was just trying to make his shocked partner feel better.
Messo slowly rose and extended his left wing. His right wing dangled limp on the ledge.
The discs continued to swarm around the canyon. Each had a green sunstone powering them. "I'll bet Posiedos has something to do with this........ok, i obviously can't fly, unless........."
It was risky, but he had to try.
"Hang on, i've got one of my wild ideas......" he extended his right wing as far as it would go. He groaned at the pain, but ignored it. When one of the discs flew close, he jumped and glided. He crashed onto it and wrapped his wings around it. Desperatly, he tried to control the device by swinging his weight towards Canyon City. At first it did not work. Eventually, the disc complied and reluctantly allowed Messo to pilot it.
By then Messo was exausted from holding on. "Ok, let's get out of here.........."

Rex got hit from behind sending him flying into the canyon wall coughing of some blood "great two broken ribs"
he takes off again stopping in front the disc things "ur going to all die" he yelled as energy started surgeing from his body even more as his body started to change. then suddenly a bolt of lighting strikes him covering him in a blinding white light.
when the light cleared his form was very different his chest and back is covered in Dragon Scales, both arms are covered raptor scales and his legs are covered in army BDUs and a red tail swinging freely in the air.

ooc: no offense, but is it legal in this board for you to do that? Since when do alien raptor-dragon-thingeys run loose on Dinotopia?
"Holy Carnotaurus!" Messo sqwacked. "What is he........."
The disc he was grasping jolted and he nearly fell off. "Gaa......Mark.......try to twist the sunstone. If you put it into a different position in the power-thing, perhaps it will be less violent............" it shook again. He was loosing his grip. "Hurry!"
Some of the discs broke off from the swarm and started for Canyon City......................

Mark extended his arm as far as he could. His was barely out of reach of the sunstone and Messo's grip was weakening further.
Mark had to think fast. Pulling himself further up the skybax's back, Mark reached for the sunstone again...and caught it!
He twisted the stone as hard as he could to the right. However, instead of moving, the sunstone broke off!
Immediately the disc began to fall toward the canyon's bottom.
What have I done? Mark thought in horror as he and Messo continued their descent toward the canyon floor.

Messo's heart sank as the drone powered down and started to fall. "Put it back! Put it back!" But there was no time. "Ah, razzberries!" He spreads his wings as far as he can and glides off the drone as it dissapears into the 6000 foot abyss.
Must......stay......in.......the......air! He weaved in and out of the drones as the swarmed. Some of them fired shock pulses but missed. Messo was excellent at manuvering, but they were sinking fast.
He spotted Blaizetail and Arithia. He struggled in the air and flapped his wings once or twice. He needed more speed.
"Blaizetail! Incomiiiiiing!" and he attempted to land on his feet. He slipped and crashed again. This time he suffered only a few bruises.
"Ok," Messo said through heavy panting. "It's been really fun, but we need to get out of here!"

"Hey u disc like things, leave them alone ur fight is with me" all the thing turn and face him as he smiled
"thats right come right at me" he yell out as a blast of energy erupeted from his body causeing all the disc like things stop dead and fall to the canyon floor
he land next to the wounder Skybax "i have some power left in me" he said as he heal the Skybax broken wing. then suddenly he truned back to normal and fell to the ground out cold

Arithia knelt next to the skybax and boy, astonished at what this, this, uh, person had done. Blazetail rested on her haunches, exhausted, but still ready for anything that would harm her partner. "What the heck were those things?" she asked again, looking at Rex

Messo picked himself up and shook his wing. "Whoa.......how'd he do that?" He slipped Mark off his back. "You ok? That was one heck of a rough ride......." he faced Arithia. "I believe Posidos has something to do with those things. I do know that they had ancient drones to use agains the dinosaurs, but they stopped their attack on the Island when Gideon and Avatar stopped them with their friends. That was Dinotopia's darkest hour, and the forging of the Skybax Corps. Whatever case, someone must ahve found and released a squad of these things, possibly from the World Beneath.......I say we get back to Canyon City and warn them of this. Heck, we should warn Sauropolis. Waterfall City. The whole blasted Island!"
He noticed Rex unchonsious. "Whoa! Rex, you all right?" He lightly jabbed at rex, trying to wake him up.

Rex got up slowly, his body in pain when he got to his feet blood was comeing from one of the broken ribs that was sticking out "dont worry about my wound, how is wing, i used the last of my power to heal you."
he looks at his left arm opening the comp built in his left arm which erupts in a shower of sparks "great, i'm stuck in human form for now" he said taking out three fuses and looks at the only drone that landed next to him and he tore it into peices studing it until he found three fuses and place them in his comp
"thats better" he key a few words showing up in Foot print lang saying Transform. he trun into his raptor form and then turned back to human "much better"

Messo stared blankly. "Tell me, what are you? I......how the......." Messo became flustered and fluttered his wings in frustration, trying to comprehend what he just saw. "I....oh whatever. Mark, get on, we should be leaving."

Arithia looked into the chasm and gulped, "Blazetail, how are you going to get out of here?"
The Afrovenator shook her head indignantly, "Arry, I'm surprised at you, we've been together for what, eight years now? You still don't trust me. Alrighty then, I guess I'm going to have to prove myself to you once and for all. Hop on"
Arithia hesitantly mounted Blazetail, and the Afrovenator took off with a leap. She clung to the wall of the canyon, then leapt again, clambering to the top of the canyon. "There" she said confidantly, "That wasn't so bad, was it?"
In response to her question, Arithia fainted off the back of Blazetail.

"i was once who u were a peace loveing Dinotopain, but after i came of age my real families powers showed and i learn of where i was found and built a army so grand the it never fell before the enemy, but that was long ago, but history tends to repeat its self and their will come a time where my past will rise again" he look at the drone
"but it might come sooner than we think, but i dont have the man power to deal with these drones, well at least their not Xenos, whick reminds me if i memeory servers, was their a land slide in the Rainy Basins around the end of 1859"

Blazetail nudged Arithia, who didn't stir, "Oh scales" she said, then went back to the canyon, peeking over, "Arithia fainted! I think I scared her when I jumped out, anyone know how to wake her up?"
The Afrovenator was not very concerned, although she did feel guilty for scaring her partner like she did. She knew Arithia would be alright, though, they just needed to get moving if they were ever going to catch up to these disc-things.

Messo thingyed his head. "You too? Gosh this is a stressful day." He nudges her with his beak. "Yoo-hoo, you awake? I can fly her back to Canyon City if you like.........."
