Introduction:
Some basic notes:
It has been brought to many peoples' attention that Tyranosaurs are a misunderstood species - no less with thier language. Let it be known that the Tyranosaur language is a very rough and difficult language to master, and only a few non-Tyranosaurs have ever mastered it. Our language has been passed down from father to son, and mother to daughter, for countless generations; and has never been written down as our language has no written alphabet per-se. This is a totally phonetic language, which was taught to me as a hatchling by my parents. Ergo, the only way to teach non-Tyranosaurs the language, I must also teach it phonetically.
The Tyranosaur's language is one pronounced by roars, grunts and barks, intermingled with certain phonetic sounds that comprise our speech. During this time I will try to write it out in human script, and they should be growled instead of spoken as humans do. Even the best human linguist can not completely speak our language as it is low and gutteral, and infrasonic sounds undermine it all, which is well below normal human hearing (Though they say they can feel it from time to time!). The best any human can do in speaking our language is speaking like a hatchling, whose vocal cords are too small to fully say the lower tones.

Basics of speech:
These characters of human punctuation can be used for the inflections we Tyranosaurs use in some of our words:
" - "...(Dash), Used between words. Both words are said as one. This is a possessive statement whose posession is given to the latter word. 'of'.
" , "...(Comma), Prounounced as a short chuffing sound. It denotes an addition to a statement. 'and'.
" . "...(Period), Barking chuff with a longer durtation than a comma. Denotes the end of a statement, and another speaker may speak.
(Please note that there are no capital letters starting our statements. There are also no exclaimations or questions, even though our statements can be worded as such.)

Here is a short list of Tyranosaur words spelled out as phonetically accurate as human writing can depict, along with a close aproximation of what they mean. This list is not complete by a long shot, and will not be in alphabetical order.
1) ssokka: To talk.
2) borodoon: To meet someone.
3) nussem: That which annoys.
4) balkkon: Cave, dark space.
5) thak: Necklace, amulet, jewelry to be worn around the neck.
6) thessa: Staff, walking stick.
7) reene: Rain, raindrop.
8) garonn: Thunder, loud noise.
9) okk: Rock, stone, pebble, boulder.
10) ahchla: Stick, branch.
11) mam-nemm: Mother, parental care.
12) de-reene: Water, to get wet. ("de" means 'to apply'.)
13) sa-reene: Stream, river. ("sa" means 'to flow'.)
14) pha-reene: Sea, ocean. ("pha" means 'deep'.)

1) aah: The letter 'A', all forms and pronounciations. Also for number one.
2) etcc: Indicating direction, accompanied by a pointing gesture of snout. ('etch' coughingly.)
3) tgeh: Negative response, all types. ('t-geg', short exhalation.)
4) sstrek: walk, trot, run. ('streck', heavy on sss sound.)
5) fuuggah: Accusation, place blame. ('fyou-gar', spat.)
6) kdopi: Home, nest, territory. ('kh-doopy', breathy.)
7) coppa: Refuse, waste, excrement. ('Gawppa!', said flatly.)
8) greach: An argument or disagreement. Fight or battle. (Said as spelled, squawkingly.)
9) skafti: To be tranquil, at peace. Also deep sleep. ('scarftee', said whisperingly.)
10) fiphet: To breathe. ('fiffett', breathy.)
11) haspi: To look, reguard. ('aespee', light on the 'sss' sound.)
12) ogona: To raise, extend. ('oogoonae'.)
13) stinas: To give.
14) zouli: Look, view from a distance.
15) locha: To take.
16) kinan: A relative, any kind.
17) chizpara: Path or road. A trail to track.
18) touka: A greater quantity.
19) catouka: A lesser quantity.
20) tah: Descriptive of an object. More commonly known as 'the'.
21) hahosha: To hear.
22) wen: To gain knowledge.
23) bagga: Oneself.
24) semko: Including, also.
25) scraat: Task at hand, labor.
(Say these words in a rolling way, then try it growling.)

10) goerlass: Statue, painting, other form of artwork.
11) leetara: General term for another animal. Specific names are close to English equivelent.
12) strifot: To be alive.
13) arb: Also, as well. Any application meaning to, too, or two.
14) gia: Except, but, or.
15) niwa: Female, any species.
16) agrah: To hunt.
17) carha: A joke, anything amusing.
18) foopa: Stumble, a mistake.
19) evazz: To hide.
20) pozz: To be revealed.
21) keka: Male, any species.
22) plisar: Injury, no matter how severe.
23) posso: To wait.
24) kaan: After.
25) pann: Before.
(Growl these words slowly and distinctly.)

12) elpoe: Empathy, sympathy.
13) hauhon; Means 'human'.
14) tocsh: Address in a masculine way, formally. ('talk-sh'.)

16) unh: Realization, good or bad. 'Oh!' or 'oh...'.
17) grraap: Word meaning Rex or King; juvenile pronounciation.
18) arg: Exclamation; 'aha!'.

(It will not matter what human accent these words are said. Human accents all sound the same to Tyranosaurs!)

3) xi: (zee) means 'or', instead of.
5) lam: (lamb) means 'ing', as in doing or going.
6) lev: (as in levitate.) 'ish', as in babyish or foolish.
7) oto: (OOtoo) 'ary', as in contrary.
8) arr: 'are', as in 'things are changing.'..
9) qui: (q-why) 'is'. as in 'This is it!'.
10) rin: (rinn) 'was'. as in that was special.'.
11) lum: (Like 'alum'.) 'from'. as in 'Away from here.'.

1) Tyranosaur alphabet is not like how you spell other words in human speech, and neither language can be spelled out remotely similar.
2) This language is translated, phonetically, from Tyranosaur to American English, and neither language is remotely similar.
3) This language is a mixture of many dialects from clans of Tyranosaurs all across the rainy Basin, and can possibly be understood by other carniverous dinosaurs.
4) Common non-Tyranosaur names can be said as normally said. This includes names of places as well as names of people.
5) As this language translation grows, it will become less and less of a primative language. Readers' assistance is appreciated!
6) People and places with the names of common things in Tyranosaur speech can be said with a Tyranosaur accent, and written thusly.

"The road to enlightenment"

One day my brother found a cave deep in the Forbidden mountains. He was hiding from a larger Tyranosaur that he stole a kill from. In he went and came out onto this cavern, and something inside glowed a pearly amber. Finding it, he saw that it was a glowing amulet, gilt of gold and with a shiny yellow Sunstone in it. It was pretty, so he put it on. When he came out he found himself near the Crachshell Coast.
'Good', he thought, 'I'll just go fishing!'
Later he noticed that he was not becoming sick; for all carnivores get sick from being too near the Sunstones. The yellow amulet glowed bright despite the sun; and only glowed less bright when he went back home. Later he showed our father, and he pondered the strangeness of the shiny thing around his son's neck.
'This is an Amulet of Protection', he said. 'The old ones made them for thier favored carnivore friends...",
My brother listened in awe...
*"Where did you get it?', my father asked, and my brother told him...
When he was done, my father looked at him deep in thought.
"The cave you found this amulet in is taboo!", he growled. "You had no right to take it! Give it to me so I can return it!"
"No father! It is mine!", my brother said, wisely ducking away from my father's jaws!..
He quickly left the territory, father hot on his heels. When he at last lost my father, he traveled further into the Rainy Bassin and into the unknown. A while later he found himself near the Hadro Swamp, where no carnivores of any kind dared to travel. There he saw many humans with thier saurian Partners fishing and tending thier crops of rice and okra. He knew to stay well down wind of them as they frighten easily. He watched thier activity and the way they co-operated with each other. he wondered why his kind could not get along so with others. Just about then a Triceratops discovered him and sent out a distress call, making him flee for his life once more!
Three days later he found himself near Volcaneum, and the soot from the ironworks there stung his eyes. he marvrled at the metal forms made there, and all the cartloads of items flowing from the place. Once again he was discovered, and wisely decided to be on his way! The next outposts he visited were all the same: industrious creatures going about thier daily lives. But he eventually met the same fate as all the rest, and was driven off. There seemed to be nowhere that he was welcome on the island - except for one place.*
Eventually he made his way back to the rainy basin, head hung low beacuse it was full of the wisdom he had collected over thge many months he was away. He retraced his steps and found the cavern he had found the Amulet of Protection in and slung it inside with all the might he posessed in disgust. A while later he worked up his courage to once again face his father.
"I am back.", he announcexd after begging apology.
"I see. And what have you learned?", our father asked of him.
"Sir, Dinotopia is a wonderful place.", began my brother. "But what one truely calls home is the place where he starts out."
"My boy is growing up!", my father said as he drew him into his embrace...

3) Use all of this to start and maintain a conversation in Tyranosaur with some of your friends.
