* Cortez lives around the Rainy Basin, where many rare herbs and other materials for making his concoctions are found. He is an expert in all sorts of medicine making and powders for all sorts of things. He is currently working on an elixer of youth, which requires an ample supply of Stegosaurus spikes. He Turns to LaSage to gain these; but it is illegal to hunt any kinds of dinosaurs!
The Scott boys and Marian find out and try to thwart thier plans, but are captured. The elixer is made wrong, and now both LaSage and Cortez are slowly getting younger - and it won't stop! They desparately seek Carl and Marion's help; but it is too late for Cortez as he drank previous youth potions, and he turns to a baby before disintegrating to dust.
