Name: Kukalad Bililias
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Hollander
Location: Chained within the prisoner hold of the converted warship, The Protectorate. Exact on Dinotopia ~ Currently unknown.
Personality: He is a lonely young man, the victim of a hundred small injustices and a few larger ones which he holds close in mind. Before he turned twelve he held faith that some loving soul would take him in off the streets of Hong Kong, and hold out hopes of a bright future to him. This dream came true more than once, but he always woke suddenly from it to find that he had been taken advantage of for illegal purposes. From then until he was sixteen he was always part of some 'street gang', but nothing good ever came from such association so he finally cast off his gregarious inclination and made his own way and living as he could. He has no faith in the goodness of human nature and was always fond of animals because they couldn't judge him. Despite his age and the hard experiences in his life so far, he is childishly-minded and uninclined to express himself in any way; the only thing grown up about him is his bitterness and his lack interest in anyone but himself. He has no particular skills and no ambitions except to make something noteworthy of himself, perhaps become a secret vigilante against injustice.
Effects: As the sole survivor aboard The Protectorate, he is the owner of the ship and the cargo in its holds by out-world maritime law. The cargo is open to suggestion, but it is valuable by out-world standards.
Coming to be on the Island: He stowed aboard the cargo ship Protectorate in Hong Kong Bay and avoided detection until the ship was far out to sea; he was imprisoned down in the hold with some invaluable cargo from that time on.
The crew and few passengers of the ship were systematically murdered by a deceptively sane madman who was also aboard as a passenger. Kukalad was the last to fall under his murderous eye, but he was saved by the rolling of the ship as it faced into a timely storm which the madman intended the ship should sink in.
Earth, Air, Water: Unknown, "Wherever the wind blows . . ."
