I hope this is acceptable.
Name: Matthew “Matt” MacCrow.
Age: 28.
Gender: Male.
Species: Human.
Location: Waterfall City.
Family: John MacCrow (Father, Deceased), Eliza MacCrow (Mother, Deceased) & Ethan MacCrow (Younger Brother, Alive)
Appearance: img168.imageshack.us/img168/7140/xenoinkedbyxenoreiql9.jpg
Just over six feet in height, Matt has dark brown hair and pale green eyes, with a small claw scar on his face. His hair is always rough, with the back grown long and but into a pony tail. He wears the clothing of the MacCrow family, designed by the first MacCrow Skybax Rider and passed on for generations. It is light beige in colour, with water blue markings and details. The under shirt is lased with a light weight chain mail, giving good claw/blade protection while not weighing down the wearer. The gloves and boots are made of tough brown leather, as well as his belt.
Background: He is one of a long line of MacCrow, who first arrived to Dinotopia centuries ago. Every MacCrow, born in Dinotopia, has been a Skybax rider. Matt was named after the first MacCrow, who washed up on Dinotopia’s shores all those years ago. He was born in Waterfall City, as well as his young brother, Ethan. He started training to become a Skybax rider at sixteen, eventually becoming the Rider of a Skybax named Pyrous. He worked and trained hard everyday, into a prideful and skilled Skybax rider.
During an escort mission, through an area often swarming with Velociraptors, they stopped after finding the body of a traveller, which was put there by the cunning hunters. When two of the five Skybax’s landed, one being Matt’s father, they made their strike. While several Velociraptors launched themselves at the low flying Skybax’s, the rest attacked the convoy below, beginning with the grounded Skybax riders.
All but one was knocked out of the air, crashing hard on the ground. His father and Skybax were killed within several seconds of the attack, along with his mother and the convoy a minute later. As a Velociraptors attention turned to him, the last remaining Rider and Skybax swooped down and rescued the wounded Matt, before fleeing back to the Waterfall City. Though family friends tried to reconcile Matt, he blamed himself heavily, at the loss of his parents and Skybax. He refused to become a Rider of another Skybax, almost turning his back on the MacCrow tradition. Ethan on the over hand, left his brother, blaming him for their parent’s death. He trained just as hard as Matt did, becoming a Skybax rider. Matt continued in Waterfall City, working with many in all manors of jobs, to coupe with his active lifestyle.
Personality: He is very kind, funny, considerate and active person. He is very skilled, and doesn’t mind being around very arrogant and intelligent, often making fun of them without making them realise. Like all MacCrow’s, he speaks with a Scottish accent, not completely, but it tends to show. Through his many odd jobs, he learned to understand several different Saurian languages, but cannot replicate them as well as he can understand them. Although, he does have the tendency to shout mumbled Saurian words, in anger or pain. He is an experienced Skybax rider and swordsman, every now and then showing it. He wears a sword sheath on his back, using it to hold his fathers long sword when travelling or such. While on the outside he seems very joyous, he often carries a lot of pain inside, very well buried. Finally, apart from human friends or family friends, he bares a little hatred for the dolphinback’s of the Waterfall City, who gossiped about the loss of his parents, but not enough to make him act differently around them.
Skills: Even though it has been several years since he last flew, he still remembers his entire Rider training. He is very experienced with swordplay, and has a high level of stamina. He can understand and, to the best of his ability, speak several different saurian languages. He can survive over twenty foot drops, thanks to his training, by pushing his weight forward into a roll on landing. Other then that, he can hunt, read, write, fight, swim and has basic knowledge with metal working.
Possessions: Apart from his clothes and small house in the Waterfall city, he has his father’s long sword, polished silver with a green jewel on the hilt.
