New Cave System

(OOC: this is and RP about something that could change Dinotopia forever, every one is free to join, takes place at a settlement near near the temple ruins)

IC: Rex walked into the settlement with a metal pack on his back and weapon under his trench coat "hey mister, where is their a place i can get rope and torches" he asked. "the shop to the left kind sir" the strange said as Rex bowed and went into the shop and bought a few hundred feet of rope and 20 torches

"sir may i ask why u need so much rope and torches" the store keeper asked? "i'm going caveing, i think i know where there might be a new cave system in the jungle here" he said as he finshed packing his pack and walk out in the mid afternoon sun and started walking towards the jungle

[Cassandria]

A young girl stood, and watched the people go by. Crunching an apple, Cassandria leaned against a large wooden post. She smirked as a The Fruit Man fell in a pile of dung, ran her hand through her short hair and tossed away the apple core carelessly. The stupid idiot always sold bad fruit, and kept the best for himself. She took the opertunity to nip behind his stall and tipped some apples into her green bag.

"Sir, may I ask why you need so much rope..."

The words caught her ears and Cassa spun round. No-one round here ever needed rope, especially not as much as this guy had. It was a known fact that Unu, the seller, almost never sold any rope. People round here made it themselves, anyway.

Curious, and slightly bored, Cassa swung her bag over her body, and set off behind him.

looks at the girl following him "if u comeing with u better pack more than just apples, unless u like meat, cuz i got enought food to last me three week out there and i'll be glad to share, and when we get out of this town, i'll give u something u need to keep ur self alive out in the jungles alone" he waits for he replay

[Curst Saden]

ooc: ooh, this sounds like fun!

Gurrah groaned in boardum. He was on the outskirts of a settlement near the temple ruins. Arral, his mate, had ordered him to get some humans for the hatchlings. Gurrah went to the town, but his morals were in the way. These humans were not a threat.........

He stood there debating himself, hoping he wouldn't have to attack the village..........

[Cassandria]

"No, I'm alright, I got bread in here."

She pointed to her bag, rolling her eyes. Talk about obvious.

"Your a carnivore. You had better not eat me, I have a whole bunch of Protocerotops. And Triceratops."

The last sentance was not technically true, but she usually hitched a ride with Tris, so it had a small grain nestled in there. She looked defiantly into his eyes.

"Where are you going? And what's with all the rope?"

"ever been caveing, its something i used to do before i came here, mind ur step, i'm not the only deadly one in these jungle" he said looking at where the Gurrah stood and walked towards him with his hand on his weapon and Cassa following behind him

[Cassandria]

"No, but my parents used to. They came to investigate caves in the rainy basin, apparently they found a new one and - "

She stopped dead.

"And that where you're going."

Her face paled as she relived the story.

"They came here and they never came back."

"its was uncovered in a landling years ago, around 1859, did anyone find ur parents bodies by chance" thinks to himself i could be to late, the Xenos might have killed her parents

[Cassandria]

She shook her head, short brown hair flying wildly in all directions.

"No, the b-bodies were never found...they just disappeared...off the face of the earth...."

She stopped for a moment, her brain whirring. She was silent for quite a while, before carrying on.

"I was only a baby. My father, Dwaje Crettin, was a habitat partner of the forest, but he didn't even get to go to the initiation ceremony..he disappeared before then. There were...rumours...a council had made a hidden discovery, something which no-one knew about, and wanted my father to check it out. He was an explorer too, so he agreed to trek through the forest and see what it was, make a report.

He took my mother with him, no-one knew exactly why. Even Nifer, his fellow habitat partner was immensly confused at the disappearance. She thought she knew him so very well, you see. But for some reason, they left me behind with Nifer. She cared for me until I was around 13, and I decided I was bored of Trirania. She told me my mother was devoted to me, and simply wanted to see my father off. And Nifer never lies.

But I always wondered what the hidden secret was, why my father left even Nifer to go alone, why my mother was so worried, and why they never came back..."

And then she stopped talking, a vivid picture of Nifer telling her the story of her devoted parents, a loving mother, a caring father.

She smiled, and walked a little faster to catch up.

OOC: My parents weren't killed by Xenos. I have a storyline...it doesn't include aliens though, lol. Most of the history, of the stuff Cassa doesn't know, is in the stories and fan-fics forum. Even though you know that Cassa mother hated her, lol, I'd ask you not to tell her, as this would be god-modding. Thanks I'm looking forward to this RP. I just hope the caves arn't alien caves. :S

Rex nods "i see, well, reason i'm asking is cuz history tends to come back on its self and i hopeing that a lifeform called an Xeno evlove again, if it did, this land will be turned into a war zone. What reason did people give u about what happen to ur parents in the caves were going to" he asked?

[Cassandria]

"They never did give me any reason. No-one knew where they went. No bodies, nothing was ever found. Not even any tracks. They were just...wiped off the face of the earth..."

[Tiasalle and Braveheart]

ooc: I think I might join, if that's okay with you, Rex and Cassa...

Tiasalle Saunders leaned casually against her partner, Braveheart's, stomach and watched the scene unfold before her. Her longer, brown hair whisked in her face, and she blew it out. If there was any one reason not to have such long hair, it was the fact that it kept blowing into your face, even when it was pulled back into a braid, like Tia's was. "What do you think they're doing with all that rope?" she asked her friend
Braveheart started from his nap and followed Tia's gaze, "Damsel, there are hardly any activities to do with rope, however, one can hope..." he trailed off
"Am I supposed to know what you're thinking or are you going to finish what you started saying, rhymer?" Tia asked semi-teasingly
"An adventure awaits, we only need to open its gates" Braveheart answered
Tia rolled her eyes, "Then let's go ask them"
She stood and helped her partner up on his feet, the duo then approached the man and girl. Braveheart, as usual, made the introductions, "This damsel is Tiasalle, and I, her companion in folly. What, if we may ask, is your intended task? Perhaps we could join you, if there is no opposition to answer to...?"
Tia shook her head goodnaturedly, "Don't mind this Robert Louis Stevenson, he's a nut. We were wondering what you were doing and, perhaps, if we could join you." She looked at the girl, who seemed only a little younger than she, being eighteen, and wondered, <Have I seen her before? She looks strangely familiar...>

[Cassandria]

Cassa laughed, and stared at the girl.

"It is not my decision...I am tagging along with him here."

She jerked her head towards her new companion, short hair flailing wildly about. She stared her head a little, thinking slightly. Then she nodded.

"But please, join me, at least...I think we could use your company."

Nods "u may join as well, but we must hurry, i would like to get to the temple ruins before sun down"

he started walking again motioning for them to follow

ooc: Sorry i've been bad with posting here..........

Gurrah was becoming impatient and anxious. Every second spent this close to a village ment he could be discovered. He wanted to leave but Arral would be angry if he came back empty-handed.

Then, he saw a young man walking out of town. Finally, a good-sized human. Arral would be pleased and she wouldn't make him do this again for quite a while.

Hopefully, that is.

Gearing into hunting-mode, Gurrah broke from the bush and charged, roaring and snapping jaws. He soon loomed over the man and attempted to pin him with his foot.

ooc: My bad, I'm Gurrah the Giganotosaurus. I appeared several posts back and stupidly didn't come back until later. Rex is the man. Is this ok?

Rex looked up at the dino towering over his head and just showing and tapping his PR-590 "come on and try it, u will be full of lead before u even move a inch, u to female head for the trees i'll deal with this dino, go now"

[Curst Saden]

Gurrah stopped and thingyed his head at the man's threat. He hadn't a clue what he was blabbering about, nor if the side-arm he was tapping would be a danger. He was, after all, taller than the tallest Tyranosaurus. To his knowledge, no human could hurt him. Trick him into a trap maybe, but not hurt him in an all out fight.

Deciding the man was no threat, he pinned him with his foot and slowly started to press down.
