Asparagales Orchidaceae: (Orchids)
The largest family of flowering plants is the Orchid family, consisting of over 22,000 accepted species and varieties. The family also includes the Vanilla plant, and horticulturist since the 1800's have bred more than 100,000 extra species. They grow in more marshy climates with high humidity, so the ones on Dinotopia find the swamps of the Rainy Basin ideal for them.
